Ducts in an unconditioned area?
Choose Yes when any duct runs through an attic, garage, crawlspace, or other area outside the heated and cooled home.Attic, garage, crawlspace, or another space outside the conditioned home.
Are there skylights?
Choose Yes for windows installed in the roof or ceiling. Skylights add solar heat and must be included in the load.

Describe the actual duct route

Room airflow comes from Manual J. The contractor supplies the equipment location, route measurements, fittings and installation constraints.

Manual J + S → Manual DRoom CFM and the selected blower transfer here automatically. ComfortIQ Design calculates friction rate and duct sizes after pressure losses are verified.
Use the same project sketch areaUpload the duct route with measured trunks, branches, fittings, registers, returns and equipment location. Label it “Duct route” in the file notes.
